Share Usage Data
Tirenoa › Builder Options has a switch named Share Usage Data. It belongs to an optional feature that reports technical facts about an installation to Tiaro, the maker of Tirenoa, to help decide what to improve.
The short version: in the current version of Tirenoa this reporting is not active. No usage report is sent, whatever the switch shows. The rest of this page gives the details.

What Happens Today
The part of Tirenoa that builds and sends the report only starts after an administrator has been shown the notice Help Us Improve Tirenoa and has answered it. The current version never shows that notice. As a result, the reporting code is not loaded and nothing is sent, on any schedule.
The Share Usage Data switch is displayed as On when it has never been saved. That display is a default of the screen, not a sign that data is being shared.
Note: If you want the stored setting to say no explicitly, set Share Usage Data to Off and click Save Options.
What A Report Would Contain
For completeness, this is the full content of a report as the code defines it. It describes the installation, not the people who use it.
| Group | Details |
|---|---|
| Environment | PHP version, WordPress version, web server software, PHP time limit and memory limit, database version, maximum upload size, site language |
| Plugins | The number of active plugins, and the name and author of up to 25 of them |
| Layouts | Whether the global layout and up to 25 other layouts have a header, page title bar, content and footer section, and up to five display conditions per layout |
| Features | Whether Studio, Off Canvas, Forms, custom icons, Tirenoa Slider, Portfolio, FAQs and widget areas are in use |
| Elements | Which Builder elements are enabled |
| History | Up to three earlier Tirenoa versions, which prebuilt websites were imported, whether the setup wizard was completed, whether a child theme is used |
A report would be sent to Tiaro’s own update server, not to any third party, and at most once every 30 days.
What Is Never Included
- Names, email addresses or any other data of visitors, customers or users
- Page content, form entries, media files or orders
- Passwords, keys or other credentials
- The address of your website as part of the report. As with every connection, the receiving server would see the IP address of your web server.
Other Connections To Tiaro
Independent of this switch, Tirenoa contacts Tiaro’s update server for updates, the plugin list, prebuilt websites and patches. These requests carry version numbers so the right files can be offered. They are part of keeping the site up to date and are not usage reports.
