White Label Branding

Tiaro White Label Branding changes how the administration looks and reads for the people who work in it: which menus they see, what the login screen looks like, and under which name and logo Tirenoa appears.

It changes appearance only. A hidden menu is not a locked page, and a renamed label is still the same feature. Use user roles to decide what somebody may do, and this plugin to decide what they are shown.

Where the settings are

The plugin adds the menu Tirenoa Branding directly below Tirenoa. Its screens are reached through the tabs at the top: WP Admin, WP Login Screen, Tirenoa and Import / Export.

Every tab ends with Save Settings, Reset Section and Reset All. A reset cannot be undone.

WP Admin

Option What it does
Remove WordPress Logo Takes the WordPress logo out of the admin bar.
Remove Screen Options / Remove Help Tab Hides the two tabs at the top right of admin screens.
Hide Admin Menus Hides the ticked menus (Dashboard, Posts, Media, Pages, Comments, Appearance, Plugins, Users, Tools, Settings) and their entries under New in the admin bar.
Rename Admin Menus A new label for each of the same ten menus.
Admin Footer Text The text at the bottom left of every admin screen, and the version text at the bottom right.
Hide Dashboard Widgets Hides the ticked boxes on Dashboard › Home.
Custom Welcome Panel A title and content of your own in place of the WordPress welcome panel.
User Role Visibility The roles, besides Administrator, that may open the Branding screens.
Custom CSS for Admin Pages Styles that are printed on every admin screen.
Apply Changes to Administrators Yes by default. Set to No, administrators keep the unbranded administration while everybody else sees the changes.

Note: Hide Admin Menus removes the menu entry only. Somebody who knows the address of a hidden screen and has the right to use it can still open it.

WP Login Screen

This tab styles the page where people sign in. It applies to everybody, signed in or not.

Option What it does
Background Color / Background Image The page background. The color lies over the image, so set its opacity to 0 to show the image alone.
Logo Image Replaces the WordPress logo above the form.
Login Box Background Color / Login Box Text Color The form and its labels.
Login Screen Link Color / Link Hover Color The links below the form.
Button colors Four fields: button and text, each in the normal and the hover state.
Remove Lost Password Link Hides the link. The password reset itself stays available at its address.

Tirenoa

Option What it does
Tirenoa Label Your own name in place of “Tirenoa” in the menu and in the texts of the administration.
Remove Tirenoa Admin Bar Menu Removes the Tirenoa entry from the admin bar on the front end.
Remove Dashboard Main Menu Items Hides the ticked entries: Dashboard, Options, Websites, Patcher, Plugins, Changelog, Support, Status.
Remove Dashboard Sticky Menu Items Hides the ticked entries: Layouts, Layout Sections, Icons, Library, Sliders, Slides, Export / Import.
Rename Tirenoa Post Type Menus New labels for FAQs, Portfolio, Skills and Tags. Shown while Tiaro Core is active.
Remove Post Type Menus Hides the menus of Portfolio, FAQ and Elastic Slider.
Tirenoa Logo Image Your logo on the Tirenoa screens and in the Builder. Recommended size 75 x 75 pixels.
Version Number Text Replaces the version shown beneath the logo.
Tirenoa Menu Icon Image / Dashicon Name The icon of the Tirenoa menu: an image, or the name of a Dashicon when no image is set.
Tirenoa Dashboard Welcome Section Heading and content of the welcome section on the Tirenoa dashboard.
Remove Tirenoa Dashboard Additional Resources Links Removes the resources section of the dashboard.
Remove Tirenoa Admin Dashboard Footer Removes the footer of the Tirenoa screens.

Note: Tirenoa Label replaces the name in every text the administration prints, also in texts of other plugins that happen to contain it. Check a few screens after setting it.

Import / Export

Export Settings saves the settings of one section or of all sections as a file. Import Settings loads such a file on another site. Images are exported as addresses, not as files, so upload them on the new site first or choose them again. Reload the screen after an import to see the values.

What it does not do

  • It cannot hide itself from the Plugins list or remove its own menu. To keep people out of the Branding screens, leave their role unticked under User Role Visibility.
  • It does not change the name of the theme under Appearance › Themes or the entries in the Plugins list.
  • The sub-heading field of the dashboard welcome section has no effect in this version.

Note: Privacy: the branding settings stay on your site. The plugin also contains the Patcher, which asks the Tiaro update server once a day whether small fixes are available and sends the plugin, PHP and WordPress versions with that request.
