The Tiaro Core Plugin
Tiaro Core is the companion plugin of the Tirenoa theme. It is installed together with the theme and the Builder, and it holds everything that should keep working independently of the design: content types, a handful of Builder elements and several site tools.
This page is an overview for site owners and editors. The larger tools each have a guide of their own; you find them under Related at the end.

Content Types
Tiaro Core registers three content types. Each appears as its own menu in wp-admin and can be switched off under Tirenoa › Options › Post Types.
| Content type | Switch in Post Types | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Portfolio | Tirenoa Portfolio | Projects or references, with their own categories, skills and tags. |
| FAQs | Tirenoa FAQs | Questions and answers, grouped by category. |
| Tirenoa Slides | Tirenoa Slider | The slides of the Tirenoa Slider, grouped into sliders. |
Note: Switching a content type off hides its menu and its element. The content itself stays in the database and comes back when you switch the type on again.
Builder Elements
The plugin adds five elements to the Builder and enables them automatically: Portfolio, FAQ, Tirenoa Slider, Privacy and, for layouts, Project Details. Portfolio and FAQ are only available while their content type is switched on.
Tiaro Mail
Tiaro Mail sends every email of the site through a real mail account instead of handing it to the web server, and keeps a log of what was sent. You find it under Tirenoa › Options › Email › Email Settings. While another SMTP plugin is active, Tiaro Mail steps back and only logs.
Tiaro Redirects
The redirect manager under Tirenoa › Redirects forwards old addresses to new ones, counts how often each rule is used and lists the addresses visitors asked for that do not exist. It can take over the rules of the Redirection plugin.
Client User Types
Under Users › Client Roles the plugin provides two user types for the people the website was built for. Client edits pages, posts, media and products like an editor. Client, view only looks at the form entries and changes nothing. Neither can reach plugins, themes, users, the global options or the settings of the Tiaro plugins.
- Names: enter a Company name and, if you like, your own names for both types. Users see these names in the user list and in their profile. With an empty company name the site title is used.
- What each type may do on this website: a table of switches. Edit the navigation menus comes with Tiaro Core; other Tiaro plugins add their own rows, for example seeing the statistics or purging the page cache.
- Access to form entries, forms, layouts, the library and the Builder per content type is set in the Role Manager in the Builder Options, where both types appear under their names.
Tiaro Connect
Connect links the website to my.tiaro.eu, the client area and control center of Tiaro. The screen is Tirenoa › Connect. Once connected, my.tiaro.eu can read the website’s state (versions, statistics totals, form counts, error log), sign agency staff and the owner in, and run package updates. It never reads passwords, visitor data or the content of form submissions.
Note: Privacy: nothing is sent before an administrator confirms a pairing link with Connect this website. The connection can be paused with Switch off or removed at any time on the same screen.
Smaller Things
- An image column in the lists of posts and slides, so you recognize entries at a glance.
- Other websites can no longer request an embed preview of your pages as a guest. Logged-in users keep the preview in the editor.
- A Tirenoa News box on the WordPress dashboard.
