How To Use The Setup Wizard
The Setup Wizard is the quickest way to start a new Tirenoa site. It asks a few questions and then creates the Global Options, a header and footer, a menu and the first pages for you. You can also use it to pick a prebuilt website instead.
The wizard is made for new, empty sites. On a site that already has content and settings, read the warning under Complete The Setup before you run it.

Start The Wizard
Open Tirenoa › Setup. On a new site the Tirenoa dashboard also shows a Get Started button, and Tirenoa › System Status has a Setup Wizard button under Tirenoa Setup & Update Tools.
The wizard needs the Tirenoa Core and Tirenoa Builder plugins. If they are not active, the first step, Plugin Activation, shows Activate Plugins. Click it and wait; the page reloads when the plugins are installed and active.
Choose A Setup Type
In the Setup Type step, enter the Site Title and Site Tagline and choose one of two paths:
- New Website builds a site from scratch with your own colors, fonts, header, footer and pages. The steps are described below.
- Prebuilt Website takes you to Select A Website, where you pick a finished design, and then straight to Finish.
Not right now returns to the dashboard. Don’t remind me again also hides the wizard invitation on the dashboard.
New Website: Step By Step
- Colors: pick a color palette. You can filter the palettes by color, switch between light and dark, or click Custom Palette and enter your own eight colors. Accessibility Recommendations tell you when two colors lack contrast.
- Typography: pick a typography set, then adjust the Base Font Size and the sizing ratio for headings. The preview shows headings H1 to H6, body text and a button.
- Layouts: click Select Header and Select Footer to choose from Tirenoa Studio, and upload a Logo if you have one. Without an image, a text logo is used.
- Content: tick the pages you want, for example Home, About, Blog, Services or Contact. You can rename each page in the field below its preview. Leave Import Dummy Content on to get sample posts that fill the blog, portfolio and shop layouts.
- Under Features To Activate, tick what the site needs, such as Forms, Off Canvas, Portfolio, Shop or Maintenance Mode. Features that are plugins get installed and activated for you.
The menu in the header is generated from the pages you select in the Content step. Mega menus that belong to a Studio header are not included. Pages are created with text but without images.
Complete The Setup
The last step, Your Website Is Almost Ready, has one button: Complete Setup. The wizard then works through four stages and ticks them off: Global Options, Pages & Dummy Content, Layouts and Finalise Setup. Keep the browser tab open until all four are done.
Note: Complete Setup replaces your current Global Options. Content from an earlier wizard run is replaced or no longer used. Do not run the wizard on a finished site unless you have a backup and really want to start over.
If you ticked Maintenance Mode, the site goes into Coming Soon mode: administrators see the site, visitors see the coming soon page. Switch it off under Tirenoa › Maintenance Mode when you are ready to go live. On the prebuilt path, the same choice is the checkbox Activate Maintenance Mode on the Finish step.
After The Wizard
The final screen offers Launch Live Builder and shortcuts to Layouts, Menus, Global Options, Coming Soon Mode, Pages and Tirenoa Studio. Everything the wizard created is normal content: edit the pages with the Builder, the header and footer under Tirenoa › Layouts, and colors and fonts under Tirenoa › Options.
Connections The Wizard Makes
The color palettes and typography sets are loaded from Tiaro’s update server, and the headers, footers and page content come from Tirenoa Studio, which Tiaro also runs. Plugins you tick under Features To Activate are downloaded from Tiaro’s server or, for third-party plugins such as a shop or events plugin, from wordpress.org. If the palettes do not load, the site cannot reach the server; check WP Remote Get on Tirenoa › System Status.
