Global Options: Site
The Global Options are the site-wide settings of Tirenoa. You find them under Tirenoa › Options. The tabs in the sidebar are sorted into groups; this page covers the first group, which holds the tabs Layout, Responsive, Background and Maintenance Mode.
Go here when you want to change the width of the site, the points at which the design switches to its mobile version, the background behind your pages, or when you need to take the site offline for a while. Changes apply to the whole site once you save. A single page can still override some of them in its own page options.

Layout
The Layout tab sets the basic frame of the site: boxed or wide, how wide the content is and how much space sits above and below it.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Layout | Wide (default) lets the site use the full browser width; Boxed places it in a centered box with the page background visible around it. |
| Site Width | The overall width of the site content, in px or %. Default: 1200px. |
| Boxed Mode Top/Bottom Offset | Space above and below the box in boxed mode. Default: 0px each. |
| Boxed Mode Offset Scroll Mode | Framed Scrolling keeps the offset in place while the page scrolls; Full Scrolling (default) lets it scroll away. Only shown when Layout is set to Boxed. |
| Boxed Mode Shadow Type | Shadow around the box: No Shadow (default), Light Shadow, Medium Shadow or Hard Shadow. Only shown when Layout is set to Boxed. |
| Page Content Padding | Top and bottom padding of the page content. Default: 60px each. |
| Default Page Template | The default page template: 100% Width (default) or Site Width. |
| 100% Width Padding | Left and right padding of the content on pages that use the full width. Default: 30px. It does not change the padding of Builder containers. |
Responsive
The Responsive tab decides at which screen widths the design changes. All breakpoint values are screen widths in pixels. The four breakpoints, Mobile Device Zoom and the two responsive typography options are only shown while Responsive Design is On.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Responsive Design | On (default) adapts the site to the screen size. Off uses a fixed layout on every device. |
| Grid Responsive Breakpoint | The width at which blog and portfolio grids start to use fewer columns; further steps are calculated from it. Default: 1000, range 360 to 2000. |
| Header Responsive Breakpoint | The width at which the desktop header changes to the mobile header. Default: 800. |
| Site Content Responsive Breakpoint | The width at which everything below the header, including the footer, changes to the mobile layout. Default: 800. |
| Sidebar Responsive Breakpoint | The width at which sidebars change to the mobile layout. Default: 800. |
| Mobile Device Zoom | Allows visitors to pinch to zoom on mobile devices. Default: on. |
| Small Screen | Listed under Element Responsive Breakpoints. The width up to which the small-screen options and visibility of Builder elements take effect. Default: 640. |
| Medium Screen | The width up to which the medium-screen options and visibility of Builder elements take effect. Default: 1024. |
| Large Screen | Display only: every screen wider than the Medium Screen value counts as large. |
| Responsive Typography Sensitivity | Listed under Responsive Typography. How strongly text sizes react to smaller screens, from 0 to 1. Default: 0, which switches responsive typography off. |
| Minimum Font Size Factor | The smallest size responsive typography may reach: the body font size multiplied by this factor. Default: 1.5, range 0 to 4. |
Note: The small, medium and large screen values are the ones the Builder uses for the per-screen settings and the visibility options of its elements. Changing them affects every page.
Background
The Background tab has two parts. Page Background is the area behind the whole site; you mainly see it in boxed mode. Main Content Background is the area in which your page content sits.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|

| 100% Background Image (page) | Displays the page background image at 100% of the window width and height. Default: off. Only shown when a page background image is selected. |
| Background Repeat (page) | How the image repeats: Repeat All, Repeat Horizontally, Repeat Vertically or No Repeat (default). Only shown when a page background image is selected. |
| Background Color For Page | The background color of the page. With an opacity below 100% the color lies over the background image. |
| Background Pattern | Shows a pattern in the page background. Default: off. |
| Select a Background Pattern | One of 22 patterns. Only shown when Background Pattern is on. |
| Main Content Background Color | The background color of the main content area. |

| Background Repeat (main content) | Same choices as for the page image; default No Repeat. Only shown when a main content image is selected. |
Maintenance Mode
The Maintenance Mode tab takes the site offline for visitors while you keep working on it. Administrators always have access. All options below Mode are only shown while a mode is active.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Mode | Off (default), Maintenance or Coming Soon. Maintenance takes the site offline temporarily (status code 503); Coming Soon keeps it offline until it is ready to launch and answers with status code 200. |
| URL Redirect | Sends visitors without access to another address instead of showing a page. Enter the full address including https://. |
| Page Template | The Library template shown as the Maintenance or Coming Soon page; Edit Template opens it. Only shown when URL Redirect is empty. |
| User Roles For Access | User roles that may see the site while a mode is active, in addition to administrators. |
| Exclude | Parts of the site that stay reachable, such as a feed, single pages or archives. One slug or URL per line. |
| Page Title HTML Tag | The page title; it is also used in the default page template. Leave empty for the default title. Only shown when URL Redirect is empty. |
| Robots Meta Tag | Whether search engines may index the Maintenance or Coming Soon page: Index/Follow or Noindex/Nofollow (default). Only shown when URL Redirect is empty. |
Note: Set Mode back to Off when the work is done. Until then visitors cannot see your pages.
