Hidden Field Element
The Hidden Field Element sends a value with the form that visitors never see or edit. It is added inside a Tirenoa Form (Tirenoa > Forms) and is useful for information you want with every submission without asking for it.
Typical uses are the title of the page the form was sent from, a campaign or source code, the product a request is about, or a fixed department name that helps staff sort incoming entries. With dynamic data the value can change from page to page, so one form can serve many pages.

How To Use The Hidden Field Element
Add the Hidden Field Element to your form and give it a Field Name (lowercase letters, numbers, dashes and underscores only), for example source_page. Enter a Field Label as well: it is not shown on the page, but it is used as the heading of this value in the entries and the notification email.
Enter the value in Field Value. You can type fixed text or insert dynamic data, such as the current page title or a value from the page address, so the value is filled in when the page loads.
The field has no design options because nothing is displayed. CSS Class and CSS ID are added to its wrapper for custom scripts. The value is saved in the form entries and listed in the notification email like any other field, and you can place it anywhere in a custom notification message with the field name in square brackets, for example [source_page].
Element Options
The tables below list every option of the element, grouped by the tabs you see when you edit it in the Builder. Many options depend on others, so the edit screen only shows the options that apply to your current choices.

Tips
- Hidden does not mean secret. The value is in the page source, and a visitor with browser tools can change it, so never put private data in it and do not rely on it for anything security related.
- Always fill in Field Label; without it the email shows a heading made from the field name.
- One form placed on many pages plus a Hidden Field with the page title tells you exactly where each request came from.
- Use the field name in square brackets in the notification subject or message to route or tag emails, for example a product name in the subject line.
