Tirenoa Form Element

The Tirenoa Form Element places a form on a page. The form itself, with its fields, layout, notifications and actions, is built once under Tirenoa > Forms; this element only chooses which form appears where. It is the only form element you place directly on a page; every other form element is a field inside a form.

Because the form lives in one place, you can show the same contact or inquiry form on many pages and change it for all of them at once. Every submission is handled by the form’s own settings, for example stored as a form entry or sent as a notification email.

How To Use The Tirenoa Form Element

First create the form under Tirenoa > Forms and add its fields there. Then add the Tirenoa Form Element to a column on your page and choose the form in the Form list.

On the Design tab set the Margin around the form. The look of the form itself (field styles, label position, colors) and what happens after submission are part of the form’s own settings, not of this element, so every page showing the form looks and behaves the same.

When no form is selected, or the selected form has been deleted, editors see a notice in its place and visitors see nothing. A form set to members only is hidden from visitors who are not logged in or do not have one of the allowed user roles. On a multilingual site, the translation of the form is shown automatically when one exists.

Element Options

The tables below list every option of the element, grouped by the tabs you see when you edit it in the Builder. Many options depend on others, so the edit screen only shows the options that apply to your current choices.

Tips

  • Edit the form under Tirenoa > Forms, not on the page. Changes there apply to every page that shows the form.
  • Test the form after placing it: send one submission and check that it arrives as an entry and, if set up, as an email.
  • Place important forms high enough on the page, or link to them with a button, so visitors do not have to search for them.
  • Keep only one copy of the same form per page. Two identical forms on one page confuse visitors and make it harder to see which one was used.
